Does this month bring routine/rhythm back into your life? I know at this stage of life I should know what to do next but the “to do” list has grown. Blogs, podcasts, mission opportunities, devotional and memoir writing are still within my grasp but not in real time. So today, my mind, too scattered to start any project, I asked the One who plans my days ahead of time and knows the best place to begin. Promises for those who trust Him appeared in my daily Bible study and on a podcast by a longtime pastor.:
Isaiah 30:21 — Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”
Psalm 32:8 — “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.”
Overwhelmed with the knowledge that the Lord of all creation is my instructor, teacher and counsellor set me on a day filled with fresh ideas, an awareness of His presence and a reminder to always hang on tightly to His promises, no matter how I feel. He has provided at least one for every day of the year.
